On 31st October Darren Hayes, ex-solist of world- famous Australian
popduo Savage Garden, will give a concert in Rocca al Mare Great
Hall, tickets will be available on Monday. Started his solo-carreer after being singer and songwriter of successful duo, Hayes will now give concert here with 6-member band. The tour of teenager girls's favourite popstar Hayes is called "Too Close For Comfort". Besides the songs from his new album "Spin" which was released this spring Hayes will also perform hits from now officially broke up duo's Savage Garden albums. Before coming to Tallinn Hayes will give two concerts in Moscow Kreml Congress Palace, on 2nd November he will perform in Finland Espoo Arena. When Darren Hayes was singing in Tallinn two years ago as a Savage Garden solist, he brought nearly 8000 fans to Faircenter. As it was expected, most of the fans were female and at least half of them teenagers. The public went especially ecstatic when after second song Hayes took off his jacket and revealed fit biceps. This time Rocca al Mare hall will be prepared for concert little bit smaller than usually, the stage is brought to the middle of the hall and there are places for 3500 people. Promotor Jüri Makarov says he saw the same kind of stage scenery in spring on Bryan Adams concert and it had looked really sympathetic. "Everything was compact, people saw artist very closely and thanks to that the atmosphere was warm and people's reaction direct", commented Makarov. With Daniel Jones, or better know as duo Savage Garden, Hayes released two albums. Duo's 1997 released self-titled album and 1999th year's "Affirmation" sold all together over 20 million copies. Biggest hits of the band were "Truly Madly Deeply", "I Want You" and "I Knew I Loved You". Hayes says his solo-carreer was just natural course to take. "While I'm more like performer type, then Daniel prefered to stay at the studio. Savage Garden was a perfect time in our lives, now it's important to move on." Darren's debut album is recorded in San Francisco and co-producer is Grammy-awarded Walter Afanasieff, who was also involved in creation of Ricky Martin's, Mariah Carey's and Savage Garden albums. Tickets to Darren's concert in Tallinn will be available from Monday in all Piletilevi and Piletipunkt centers. |
