Some people love the spotlight. That's Darren Hayes. Some people can't stand the glare of celebrity. That's Daniel Jones, Haye's former partner in Savage Garden.

Hayes tours the country with a publicity blitz in the next week with a series of invitation only gigs plugging his debut solo album, "Spin". But Jones will keep his usual profile as the first signing to his music production company, Brisbane duo Aneiki, hit the road to promote the single "15 minutes".

Anyone who saw Savage Garden's last world tour could see the difference, with Hayes up front and Jones content to stand back with the band.

Jones approached singer Jennifer Waite about writing songs together in 1998. Song writer Grant Wallis joined the party and the three went to Stockholm to work on Aneiki's debut album. The album "Word in place of Objects" will be released later this year.

Meanwhile, Haye's "Spin" sits at No.6 in the Australian charts, debuted at No.35 in the US charts this week and his label believes it will debut close to the top of the chart in the UK next week.
