Insatiable Appetite For The Best
(Adelaide Advertiser, March 21)

Darren Hayes made news across the country when he chose to re-shoot the music video clip to Insatiable, the first single off Spin unhappy with the finished produce. Recent rumours estimated the cost of both shoots amounted to $800,000 AUD making it the most expensive in Australian history. Not true, says Hayes.

"The reality is that it was a moderately priced video that was shot in Australia that looked beautiful but just did not convey the romance of the song," he says.

"We got the video back and I was one of the many people that felt that it was emotionally kind of cold. It happens all the time. God, that's my only job – to write these songs and then portray it and perform it to you in a way that I think is what it's about. So I redid a video that I felt was more romantic, more simple and much cheaper. The reality is I spent as much on these two videos as I would have on one expensive American video. But it had to be done."
